Unbranded KState 26” MTB
$120.00
A refurbished women’s 12sp (2×6) mountain bike with a KSU purple color way!
Kansas Department of Corrections has a bicycle repair program, not unlike ours, where they take in stray bikes, make them rideable again, then give them away for charitable purposes. In the case of this bike, KDOC gave it a heavy coating of purple, stenciled a Power Cat onto the top tube, and covered the saddle in purple vinyl.
This bike then made its way into a Plainville church auction where an exorbitant amount of funds were raised from this bike. Later, the owner – getting up in years – brought it to us for consignment: hopefully to a K-State Wildcats fan or alumni.
This women’s cut hard body mountain bike will make a great commuter or weekender for casual dirt trail riding.
This is probably a 90s model BSO, the badge and any decals having been removed. Beyond the paint, it looks like it has factory everything, including Falcon infinity thumb shifters, 26x1.95” knobby tires, and impressive cantillever brakes front and rear. Another highlight is the use of clear cable housing, allowing the internal metal armoring to shine through.
Dings include a little slop in applying the Power Cat logo, aging spoke guard, aging gum wall tires, and the saddle fabric needs a tuck. The consigner is asking $120 or best offer. Pick up this colorful bicycle and show off your Wildcat pride!
